Description
Our salmon puppy food is a cold-pressed, natural dry food for puppies and growing young dogs, up to 12 months old. Due to its special recipe, our salmon puppy food is particularly suitable for stomach-sensitive and sensitive young dogs as well as allergy prone dogs who are sensitive to conventional grains. Canis Plus® Puppies & Young Dogs Salmon Dog Food is a single sourced protein puppy food, salmon is the only animal protein source in the recipe.
Canis Plus® Puppies & Young Dogs Salmon Dry Food is a high-quality, cold pressed complete food for growing dogs. The unique composition of Canis Plus® Salmon Puppies & Young Dogs Puppy Food ensures maximum tolerance for food sensitive and allergy prone dogs. The unique blend of high-quality ingredients creates a balanced recipe, without the addition of hidden sugars, synthetic vitamins or preservatives as well as nutritionally inferior fillers such as roots or peels.
More time for healthy growth – our dry food for puppies and young dogs is fed until the age of 12 months. It has a moderate energy content adapted to the growth phase and an extra portion of well needed valuable nutrients so that the young dogs can grow slowly, stably and evenly. This is because too much energy during the growth period can cause puppies and young dogs to grow too quickly and thus unfavourably resulting in problems in later life.
The easily digestible salmon contains a high proportion of essential and vital omega-3 and -6 fatty acids. Their positive properties can be particularly helpful for skin, gastrointestinal, heart and joint problems. Instead of conventional grains, we use fibre-rich brown millet, which makes our Canis Plus® Puppy and Young dog Salmon well tolerated, even for dogs with grain allergies and it also promotes healthy digestive processes. Millet, which is solubilised by our gentle cooking process, is considered a particularly compatible alternative to conventional cereals. It is ideal for stomach-sensitive and sensitive dogs and it also supports healthy skin and a shiny coat.
Other valuable nutrients round off our balanced recipe
- Carob, which can regulate digestion
- Salmon oil & coconut oil, which provide essential omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids and can make a positive contribution to maintaining the health of the immune system and joints
- Brewer's yeast for a beautiful coat and healthy skin
- Carrots that can promote an intact intestinal mucosa
- Bananas provide valuable nutrients as well as the happiness hormone serotonin
- Rose hips and blackberries provide more vitality
- Lime from seaweed supplies 100% natural calcium
- Malt germ, diatomaceous earth and gently dried herbs promote a healthy metabolism
- Sprouts of naked oats and brown millet provide micronutrients and phytochemicals in high doses, because a single germ already contains the concentrated power of an entire plant
The gently processed, high-quality ingredients in our Canis Plus® Puppies & Young Dogs Salmon Puppy Food provides adolescent, sensitive and allergy prone dogs of all breeds with natural healthy nutrients and contributes daily to keeping your dog healthy. The absence of synthetic additives relieves the dog's metbolism and the development of its intestinal flora remains undisturbed.
For minature breeds and puppies and young dogs with problems in the dental area, we offer Canis Plus® puppies & young dogs Salmon dog food in the smaller pellet format.
Also suitable for pregnant and lactating bitches. During pregnancy, the mother should be switched to our food for puppies and young dogs from 30-35 day of pregnancy at the latest.

Feed changeover
If you have previously fed an extruded food (such as commercially dry food brands), we recommend a quick switch to our cold pressed dog food. Extruded and cold pressed feed should not be fed mixed in a bowl. It is best to completely replace the meals with the Canis Plus® complete food.
Optimal amount to feed
The optimal amount of food depends on various factors such as activity level, age, season, physical health, mental health and much more and should be assessed individually. Please observe the recommended amount of food and stick to it for the first 1-2 weeks. After that, you can then determine whether you need to adjust the feed via your dog’s body weight i.e. if the dog is gaining weight, then reduce the amount fed.
Dry food combined with wet food
Combined feeding with our cold pressed dry food, our complete meals, our pure meat products or BARF is possible. For dogs with sensitive stomachs, however, we recommend that dry and wet food should be fed in separate meals.
The right pellet size
Most dogs do just fine with our regular pellet size. The pellets are not too hard and the dog should be encouraged to chew, which in turn ensures longer occupation with the food. For minature breeds and small dogs, as well as older dogs that have problems with their of teeth, we recommend our smaller pellet format.
